⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I could give this gym 7 stars, I would. From day one through 3+ years later, Kagefit has maintained a consistent, high-character environment in the areas that matter most to me and my family. Our entire family trains here, which says a lot—especially that I’m completely comfortable having my wife train here as well. The atmosphere is one of winning and growth without being hyper-toxic, which is rare. What really stands out to me is the steady growth of the kids’ classes. That tells you everything you need to know. The family culture I’ve personally witnessed is second to none. I’ve also seen people return after moving away or taking extended breaks, and they’re welcomed back like they never left. That kind of environment isn’t built overnight—it’s intentional. Kagefit isn’t just a gym. It’s a community.
I dropped in for a few classes while I was in town for work, and I’d heard nothing but great things about this gym. It more than exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, everyone was welcoming and friendly. I’ve been training Muay Thai and BJJ for quite some time, so jumping right in was seamless. The instructors are outstanding and immediately made me feel like I was training at my home gym. I highly recommend KageFit to anyone looking for quality MMA training in the Opelika/Auburn area. I’ll definitely be back.
This is the best gym in the 334 area or maybe it might be the best gym in Alabama. The facility is huge for a MMA gym and they have real professional and amateur fighters that have been training for years. I would recommend this gym to anybody that lives around a 60 mile radius to come here it’s worth an hour drive but I only drive around 20-30 miles but it’s worth it every minute.
Elite coaching staff with a welcoming training environment. So many class and time options! The amount of mat space is almost unheard of- plenty of room for multiple classes, etc Also, the gym is completely new and built from the ground up! So many thoughtful elements (locker rooms, storage cubbies, seating for parents, etc).
This is the best MMA and Family Fitness gym. Not just in Opelika/Auburn. It is actually just the best place. I was a member here for 6-7 years and it was the best experience. Professional staff - whom I call friends and counselors. The people here are just a pleasure. You can come here if you want to be a professional fighter - the coaches have been there, done that, even internationally. You can come here if you just want to lose some weight while having the time of your life in an awesome environment. You can come here to learn movements and mechanics of self-defense. You can come here to give your kids the most incredible opportunity to be a part of a sport that will stick with them a lifetime and give them confidence in all of life. I did all of the above! Shane and this family business is a true Auburn/Opelika treasure. CHECK THEM OUT, it will change your life!
