It was one of the realest gyms I've seen in a long time. No gimmicks or people trying to sell you a house. Just real people training and trying to work hard. Let's go Drew!
My daughter has been boxing since the age of 4 and she’s 8 now. I brought her to Coach Andrew at the age of 6 and has been nothing short of a miracle and blessing. My daughter has increased her boxing IQ, skills, and strength under Coach Andrew’s guidance so much, it’s unbelievable. As a young African American girl, she’s treated like family with no favoritism. Coach Andrew and the rest of the coaches here treat my daughter like she’s their daughter and the don’t show favoritism. They make her work for it like everyone else and that’s valuable to me as a full time/proud father. In our two years of being apart of this gym, I HAVE NEVER HEARD THE USE OF THE “N-WORD” in this gym. Nothing but good music, elite training, and genuine love in this environment. If you cant understand or withstand the culture of the boxing gym, then this isn’t the gym for you. This the Lions Den and only the Strong survive at Mendez Boxing Academy!!!!
Great boxing gym! My 11-year-old and I train here together and we both love it. The coaches are patient, motivating, and really know their craft. Highly recommend! ---
Coach Mendez and his dedication to the sport along with the community and all that comes with training at Mendez makes it more than 5 star. Changes lives over there. The commitment to safety and proper training is untouched, great team and great facility!!
Amazing atmosphere! This is more then just a gym every one becomes family and works hard to achieve their goal from losing weight, self defense or becoming an amateur or pro fighter! It’s a fun gym every one works extremely hard and also have fun in there!! If you’re looking for a gym that works hard and who cares for everyone look no further! it shows with all the fighters from kids to adults theirs proof that Mendez is the place to be!!!
