Amazing gym! My boys have been going here a while now and really enjoy it! It’s a great place for kids to learn self defense and discipline. It’s also a great place for us older folks to get/in/back or stay in shape while learning some awesome skills as well! I personally have lost over 30lbs in 6 months and have had a blast doing it!
My son loves it. The instructors are top notch and very professional. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is on the ropes about the cost or whether or not it's worth it.
This is one of Fort Smith's Best Kept Secret! We are in our sixth week of the youth MMA program for our 6 year old. Coach Bales and Coach Middleton are fantastic! They expect respect, but give the upmost respect to the kids. They lead by example. In the short time, ours went from being extremely nervous about the class to being self-confident and proud of the lessons he is learning and the challenges he overcomes. They are teaching them discipline, respect, proper technique, and how to defend themselves. It is giving me more of a peace of mind as a parent. They're taught the "why" behind all lessons and how/when it would be used in a real life situation. They hold themselves to the same values and standards they're teaching in every class. I will 1000% recommend this class to anyone and everyone, and am excited to see the progress ours makes at Championship MMA.
My two kiddos had the privilege of attending Championship MMA for almost two years. During that time, they grew in confidence, self-discipline, and the ability to defend themselves! And they had fun doing it! We loved it there! Coach Don Paul Bales is a fantastic motivator who balances instruction and learning with fun exercises in the best of ways. He also has incredible patience with the little ones and a great team of assistant coaches. Coach Middleton was always so kind to my family. 😊 My kids and I will miss this wonderful program, and we hope to find another MMA facility in our new state that can live up to the high bar set by Championship MMA. Thank you for the memories!! ❤️
UPDATE June 2023: My son just turned 12 and just hit his 5 year anniversary with Championship MMA - such an amazing milestone for him! He has poured years into his training and I could not be prouder of not only his skills on the mat but off as well. This place teaches so much more than just MMA skills. Mat chats with Coach talk about real issues these kids face in schools today and he tells them smart ways to deal with them and gives them the confidence to do what is right. The coaches also instill respect and discipline in a fun way so that they are respectful to their parents and teachers. My son has amazing role models in all of the coaches and has made some life long friends in his battle buddies. I have legit passed up career opportunities that would require my family to relocate so that my son did not have to lose his dojo because I know there are no others out there like it! I cannot say enough GREAT things about this place. My 7 year old son has been attending for several months now, if those doors are unlocked that is where he wants to be. All of the coaches are extremely great with the children. I have seen more than one child come in lacking discipline and disrespectful towards their parents and within a few weeks it was like a different child. They teach with laughter, fun, fitness and discipline all wrapped up. Watching the coaches with these kids truly is amazing. All of the staff and other parents really make you feel welcome the very first time you enter the dojo. It truly is like a family here. I've sat and watched some of the adult classes and it is so INSPIRING to watch. The coaches are so great at breaking all of the moves down and helping each student identify mistakes or "watch outs" in a practical way. There are students of all shapes, sizes, males, females, etc. If you have ever been to a martial arts studio and felt intimidated because you are "the new person" you will never feel that here!! If your just kicking around the idea of trying it I strongly suggest you go try it out!!
