I have been going to Fearless for over 10 years! It is great for adults and kids. The kids classes are well organized and great for kids of all ages. The students learn discipline, self defense, self confidence all in a fun and developmentally appropriate environment. The adults classes are great exercise, fun and also teach valuable self-defense skills. The instructors are great! If you are new to martial arts or want to get back into you should check it out!

My daughter has been taking classes at Fearless Martial Arts Academy for nearly three years. Since she wasn't enjoying soccer as a 5 year old, we figured we'd try something different to give her an opportunity to exercise and hang out with other kids. Originally, we chose Fearless over other Castro Valley based martial arts schools because it offered (and still does) separate classes for 4 to 6 year olds. We started with 2 days per week, but now she wants to go 3 days per week without needing any "encouragement" from her parents. She also decided to participate in the FIT program (a Fearless Academy in-house program designed to guide/train current students to become future instructors), which has allowed her to develop even more skills and create an even stronger bond with her peers and young instructors. Having listened to some of the FIT workshops personally, I've come to really appreciate the training method at Fearless, which essentially boils down to: teach young kids through play to sharpen their focus and abilities for when they're older. Fearless is a very family friendly place that offers a lot of classes that focus on young kids and pre-teens. Fearless also has options for teens/adults and after two years of watching my daughter, I decided to start taking classes. I'm almost one year into my own training and it has definitely become my thing (3 days a week, rain or shine). Most of my classes are with Coach Sarrick (weekday evenings and Saturday mornings) who loves to coach everybody, but Coach Olivia (weekday mornings), coach Tom (who manages the school), and Coach Brian (Owner) are also there to offer coaching/training to teens and adults who want to learn. Parking at that location can be a bit frustrating at times, especially around dinner time (weekdays) or lunch hour (Saturdays) and I recommend living by the old adage: if you're on time, you're late.

My kids have been attending Fearless for about three years, and it has been a wonderful experience. They genuinely look forward to every class - not only because they’re learning martial arts, but because they feel like they are part of a supportive community. They are developing important skills such as self defense and self-discipline, all within a respectful and encouraging environment. The coaches are outstanding and clearly passionate, not just about martial arts, but about teaching and positively impacting their students. I highly recommend this place to any family looking for good instruction and a strong sense of community.

Awesome place to train, especially if you want a killer workout that’s still beginner-friendly. I love starting my mornings in the adult/teens Muay Thai class with Coach Olivia. The workouts are intense, but she teaches everything in a clear, simple way so beginners can jump in and feel comfortable getting the same work in. You’ll sweat, learn real technique, and leave feeling accomplished every time at this place.

Our family has been attending Fearless Martial Arts for about two years now, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Both of our kids (ages 6 and 9) have grown so much physically, mentally, and emotionally. One thing that really stands out is the leadership program. Our daughter has had the opportunity to help out as a leader, and it’s been amazing to see her confidence grow. She’s learned how to speak up, lead other students, and take responsibility skills that carry over well beyond the dojo. Compared to other activities we’ve tried, Fearless is more flexible, responsibly priced, and offers so much value. The training builds strength in areas that are often neglected, with a strong focus on discipline, focus, and self-control. The kids are getting a full-body workout while also learning important life skills. The coaches are friendly, professional, and genuinely care about the students. They take the time to learn each child’s name, and if a student is struggling, they’ll pull them aside to give individual guidance. You can really tell the coaches want every student to succeed and grow. The long-term benefits have been huge for our kids. They’re more confident speaking up, have better self-control, and are noticeably fitter. Our 6-year-old can do 10–15 solid pushups which still blows us away. Classes are structured but fun, and the games at the end keep the kids engaged and excited to come back. We’re incredibly grateful for Fearless Martial Arts and highly recommend it to any family looking for more than just an after-school activity.
