I do not recommend this gym for beginners or teens. My 15-year-old son came in genuinely trying to learn boxing and find something positive for himself. Instead of being encouraged, the owner made rude and discouraging comments, including telling him he “chose the wrong sport” and implying he had been kicked out of another gym. That is completely false. My son has never been kicked out and is currently on a waiting list at another gym. It was very clear that this gym only caters to experienced boxers and has little patience for newcomers. A gym should be a place that builds confidence, especially for teens, not one that makes them feel unwelcome or embarrassed for being new. Parents looking for a supportive environment for their children should consider other options.

This gym is a staple of how local talent with the right trainers on hand can become champions just like the trainer’s did when they were fighting. I’ve known the Diaz Brothers since the late 80’s into the 90’s. Much respect.
