Been training at SBY MMA Gym and it’s been a great spot. Good people, solid coaching, and a real work atmosphere where you can learn and get better no matter your level. I’ve enjoyed being there and definitely plan on being back once I’m done working down south. Appreciate everybody there and looking forward to getting back in soon.
Hailing from the west coast, I was looking for a place to train while visiting the Salisbury, MD area a few times a year. I stumbled upon SBY MMA & Fitness while touring PURE Fitness downstairs. That same day, I met the owner Branden. I told him my situation and was met with unmatched hospitality! Seven months later, I returned, was remembered and was able to get on the mats twice during my stay. The instructors, the people, the culture here are all top notch. If you like to train while you travel, or like me, can’t stay off the mats without losing it? And, you’re in the Salisbury area? Bring your gear, stop by, ask for Branden and get to work! 110% worth it & you will walk out at least 1%better👊🏼
I’ve been a member here for 3 years and can honestly say this gym is something special. From day one, it felt like more than just a place to train. It’s a true family atmosphere where everyone looks out for each other and wants to see one another succeed. Branden and his coaches genuinely care about their students. They pay attention, take time to explain details, and make sure you’re improving while staying safe. Whether you’re brand new or experienced, you’ll feel comfortable walking through the doors. I’m grateful to be part of SBY MMA and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great training and an even better community.
Joining SBY MMA was the best decision I made for myself in a long time. When a peace order I filed against someone got denied by a judge, I decided to step my game up in protecting my physical well-being and improving my mental health. SBY MMA offer a wide variety of classes for combat fighting, personal training sessions and a conditioning course... and I'm sure I'm forgetting more! The owner has a podcast and there is TONS of social media content to check out any time with training tips and current events. The gym/equipment is kept in immaculate condition. My fellow classmates are friendly and encouraging. The coaches are knowledgeable and personable. It's great to have coaches that hold you accountable, push to bring the best out of you AND make you laugh. I genuinely look forward to class and get an incredible workout every time. Being a member of this organization is BEYOND worth it.
Geeze where do I even start, SBY MMA and Fitness / Southside Ju-Jitsu is my second home. I have nothing but great things to say about this gym. I joined a little over 2 years ago and since then SBY MMA has done nothing but grown. We have amazing coaches on top of amazing students and of course Branden Hudson the owner does so much for the gym and his students by going above and beyond. This gym is not just somewhere you go to workout or hit the big, it’s a culture that you’re joining. It’s an adult friendly gym as well as kid friendly, matter of fact in the photos you’ll see my two younger brothers 11 & 8 came down for one summer and joined the kids Ju-Jitsu program and fell in love with it and the friends they made. In all honestly the atmosphere and positivity of this place can’t be explained through a google review, you’re just going to have to come here for yourself and see how great it is. 10/10 recommend this Gym to all ages and backgrounds to try!
