Ragnar BJJ is a fantastic jiujitsu academy. It's mainly a nogi academy and the instructor James Doner has been training jiujitsu for close to 20 years. He's extremely knowledgeable in jiujitsu. He's also a really great guy and his classes are lots of fun! I highly recommend this school!
Professor James is like no other! He is a Black Belt with 15+ years of experience with Gi and No Gi training. His amazing dedication and commitment to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu shines through in his teachings of this versatile sport. This is truly a hidden gem where each student is given the utmost attention, no matter their skill level. Professor James Doner has made Brazilian Jiu Jitsu his lifelong passion and it shows. He is not just a talented practitioner but he is truly gifted as a coach (I went all the way to Regionals and Nationals with him as my professor). You can always find someone who is good at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but you can’t always find someone who is as dedicated a teacher as he is. Whether you’re just looking to train recreationally or compete Professor James (or Ragnar) is steadily building a professional clientele with a friendly, positive atmosphere that perfectly blends old school traditions with cutting edge techniques. Professor “Ragnar” James is thorough with his teaching method. His instruction is top notch and he breaks down the little details of jiu jitsu.
