Ground Control is an amazing place for ju-jitsu! From the very first phone call, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The standout was the guy at the front desk—he went above and beyond to walk us through everything and made us feel at home the moment we arrived. My son had a fantastic time in his class, and we’re excited to come back. Highly recommend!
My 4-year-old started BJJ a few months ago, and he absolutely loves attending his classes at Ground Control. Coach Ale and Coach Sara do an incredible job with the kids, skillfully introducing the fundamentals of BJJ while fostering focus, respect, and discipline. They strike the perfect balance between structured learning and fun, making every class an enjoyable and rewarding experience for the little ones.
I’ve been boxing and doing jujitsu here for a little over half a year (7 months) and it’s great. The price is fair for what it’s giving you which is martial arts lessons a small weight gym and works record holding coach’s. (Coaches are very good) so personally I think that the price is worth it and the coaches teach you fundamentals and things on high levels.
Had the opportunity to drop into the facility this week during my work travel. Facility was very clean and well maintained. I had the opportunity to work with a technical expert Lucas Montalvao. Brilliant instructor with a passion for the details. I highly recommend Ground Control Columbia to anyone looking for a gym. Thank you again for your hospitality this week. OOSSAAA
I’ve been coming to Ground Control now for about 3 months and I absolutely love the place. The training is incredible and Max Gimenis is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had the pleasure of training under. I love the atmosphere from the moment I walk in, very clean facility and everyone from the front desk secretary to the owner are super friendly and always very inviting. I highly recommend Ground Control to anyone that wants to train jiujitsu in the Columbia area. From kids to adults, they have something for everyone.
