I never liked gyms until I found Makana Training Center. Place is awesome, has a little bit of everything to train and level up, & they’re really great people that provide a lot for the community.

I had the privilege of training here while I visited home for a bit. I’ve seen friends train here on IG and had to check it out myself. I could not recommend this place more. It is a no frills, no thrills gym that has good old school equipment and an atmosphere of community you can feel. I wish this place was around when I was a kid living on the island still lol. Would absolutely come back when I’m visiting again

Great variety of equipment. Refrigerated water fountain, bathrooms with warm showers, kind staff, fans in each room, and an easy check in process. As of this date, they are the only gym on Kauai that participates in the Alohacare/Quest "Active And Fit" program which allows the insurance company to pay for your membership if you have a medical need for it. I have lost 17 pounds since joining and changing my diet. I can't think of a single area they could improve upon. They covered all the bases! Even a scale! 🤙🏾

GREAT “OLD SCHOOL” TRAINING FACILITY WHERE THE EMPHASIS IS ON THE WORK NOT THE SHINE OF THE EQUIPMENT. PEOPLE BOTH WHO WORK AT MAKANA AND TRAIN THERE ARE PLEASANT AND COME TO THE GYM TO WORK NOT TO SOCIALIZE OR TALK ON THE PHONE. RARE PLACE IN THIS DAY AND AGE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND MAKANA IF YOUR ON THE WEST SIDE OF KAUAI AND WANT A REAL WORKOUT!
