The environment that Coach Anthony and his wife have provided is absolutely AMAZING! Coach has taught my daughter so much in the last 2 years. The encouragement they provide makes you want to push forward and work harder. My family feels very blessed to have Bitterroot BJJ in our lives.
For years we wished for a safe, clean, respectable gym for our family (kids & adult) to learn quality Brazilian JiuJitsu in the Bitterroot. We’ve been training here for nearly 2 years now, & could not have hoped for a better place. The people, values, & instruction are incomparable. Anthony has made sure our kids have the skill & technique to benefit them both on a competitive level & in real life. Love the community at this gym, we always look forward to training- no phony martial art stuff here. Just the real, practical life skill that is Jiujitsu.
Although my families engagement with Bitterroot BJJ is very short at this point, the kids program is fantastic and I know my kids look forward to each class *so far. From what I've seen, Coach Anthony instills a lot of great social qualities and does a fantastic job of breaking down the steps to foundational elements of BJJ. Overall, I hope Bitterroot BJJ continues to grow and allow my kids a place to make fantastic memories!
I'm new to Jiu Jitsu, but I have tried to approach it with other gyms, and NONE of those made me appreciate the art the way Bitterroot BJJ does. I'm excited to learn, and I know every time I have a question, Anthony will be right there to answer (and usually demonstrate!) so that I can get it right. This gym is a family. I cannot WAIT for it to move and expand to include kid classes, advanced classes (I'm not qualified for those yet, but still nice to have!) and classes on women's self defense.
If you’re looking for a place to train or take your kids to train Brazilian Jiujitsu I highly recommend this place. Anthony is one of the best instructors I ever had the privilege of learning from. Anthony and his wife Aimee are very friendly and will make you feel right at home from the start. Anthony is highly technical and has loads of knowledge and experience in the art of Brazilian Jiujitsu. Not only is he a great coach, he is a great person. I can’t recommend this place enough. Go check it out. P.S. the song Roxanne will never be the same. If you know, you know.
