I’ve always been protective of my child, perhaps to a fault. Because one day I noticed he was afraid of the thought* of pain and confrontation. So I suggested he try karate (different dojo). It did a great deal for his confidence, physical strength, focus and discipline. But we moved. We found Fight Fitness 618. It was different than the other dojo. The established students looked like little beasts, there was a focus on real life applicable skills and fighting styles that his other dojo lacked. As we kept showing up I saw how Shane took an individual interest in each child. Shane is passionate and disciplined. It seems he understands that he has an opportunity to impact and improve lives and he shows up full throttle every class for these kids. I find myself being genuinely proud of the growth of the students that aren’t mine too! Most days are hard, but the lessons my son has successfully learned are hard ones. Hard ones I don’t have the skills to teach, but Shane does.

Amazing sensei! I appreciate sensei Shane's approach with both kids and adults. The atmosphere is very welcoming and homely. He teaches more than just kickboxing & mixed martial arts. I am grateful to have joined Fight Fitness618 with my kiddos and I can not wait to see what the future holds for us. Highly recommend!

My son, Steven, walked into Fight Fitness 618 one day to try a free cardio kickboxing class. He met Sensei Shane and stayed after class to talk, and immediately formed a bond. Steven ended up taking the combat class as well, and Shane began mentoring him. Two years later, Steven has won multiple medals and two national kickboxing championships, but more importantly, he has found a passion for the sport. Shane is more than a Sensei. He is a powerful role model for young minds, teaching them respect, honor, discipline, and a strong work ethic, while also being a good man who gives back to his community and pours into the youth he encounters. Definitely recommend this gym, no matter how old you (or your child) are. You won’t be disappointed!

My son is loving his kickboxing/ jujitsu classes… . I’m so glad we found Fight Fitness 618. It’s such a positive community to be a part of. Sensei Shane is a great instructor, but also encourages complete well being. My son’s grades, attendance, confidence, and overall outlook have improved. He’s even helping around the house more!! I’m so glad he found something that he loves being a part of and is passionate about. I’m happy to be a part of such a knowledgeable, welcoming and encouraging community!

We started our son at Fight Fitness looking for something to keep him active and offer some structure to his activity. After seeing how beneficial it was his brother joined as well. We couldn't be happier with the level of training offered and consistency. We find our kids are constantly being called to a higher standard both on the mat and off. Sensei Shane works with the kids based on their individual needs and we feel like he really sees the boys as individuals, which sometimes can be hard in a group setting. We couldn't be happier with our choice and are thankful to be apart of the Fight Fit Family!!!
