Been coming here for almost a year and I would recommend anyone that wants great training at the Palatine or McHenry facility. Aerial is a phenomenal trainer along with Pedro the owner. Feels like a family. The one thing that I saw that separated Rumi Maki from other gyms is that when you know you’re messing up the trainer/training partner will pull you aside and correct you to enhance your skills. As other gyms will continue with the training session and will tell you to learn by yourself. (Personal experience). They care about you’re growth in the boxing worlds Trainers are great here, and very welcoming, family oriented. People that I train with are also awesome and great to grow with in the sport of boxing. I believe that whether you are doing this as a hobby or professional, this is a great place to sign up for. Being a wrestler for 8 years and bodybuilding for 10+ years. If you're looking for a challenge I conditioning. Rumi Maki will challenge you… and grateful to be apart of this boxing gym.

Love the place & the people here. Friendly environment while also focusing on the boxing fundamentals & vigorous training.
