I have been to several Jiu-Jitsu gyms in the Des Moines area, while all are knowledgeable, Professor DeSalvo takes things to another level. His knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu, and martial arts in general is outstanding. Great place to train!
I was in town for work and dropped in for 2 fundamental classes. I loved it. I learned a few different details than I hadn’t seen. Everyone was super friendly and safe. The owner def knows his stuff.

I’ve experienced both the adult and kid classes at this Jiu-Jitsu gym, and I must say, it's been nothing short of exceptional. Darren, the instructor, truly goes above and beyond in his instructions, The kids classes are engaging and tailored to their learning styles, making it both educational and fun. Darren's dedication to teaching goes beyond mere techniques; he instills discipline, confidence, and respect in every session. For adults, whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, the classes are well-structured and cater to individual progress. Darren's attention to detail and willingness to help everyone improve is commendable. I highly recommend everyone, regardless of age or experience level, to give this Jiu-Jitsu gym a try. For me It's not just about learning a martial art; it's about personal growth!!
