Been to a lot of gyms, will tell you this is the best. Extremely humble, no ego. Everyone there is there to help people get better. No politics, no bs just training and learning. If you want to learn Muay Thai this is the gym. Sacan has the best availability and training in the tri-state. Thank you to Neal and the Sacan Family.
This review is not reflecting the quality of the classes but serves a disclaimer. First, Neal provides a thorough breakdown of kickboxing and makes sure you learn everything from the basics to the techniques. It is challenging but rewarding. However, signing up for the classes put you on a one year contract, and if you want to cancel. You would have to cancel 30 days ahead of time and say a good reason to cancel. When I signed up, I wasn't told this and I paid an extra 125 dollars when I couldn't participate the classes. Use this as a warning whether or not you could commit to taking his classes.
Coach Neal Rowe at Sacan Family Martial Arts Center is simply amazing! Under his guidance, my skills have improved tremendously. His expertise, tailored instruction, and supportive approach make every class a joyous and rewarding experience. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a transformative martial arts journey!
Been here for the last year and few months. Neal is a brilliant instructor with no ego whatsoever. He’s passionate about teaching and that shows whether he’s teaching children, aspiring or current professionals, or an old guy like me! 😅 And the variety of what to learn makes this place amazing. Great place with great people. Everyone treats each other with respect and all levels of experience are accepted. Head instructor, Neal Rowe, is very knowledgeable in several different arts. The gym is affordable compared compared to most gyms in the region. This is the place for you to train Muay Thai or your kids to train in Kenpo Karate, if you are living in the Midwest.
