Turn the air conditioning on. Are you so cheap that you can't actively cool your building? A group of us come here to play racquetball, but it's always hot and humid there. It's miserable. You expect us to pay for a membership so we can "enjoy" a sweltering, tropical atmosphere in your ancient and poorly maintained gym? Come on! At least get some air moving. This building is in serious need of renovations and more attentive ownership.
Evolve Fitness presents an adequate but ultimately frustrating experience, largely due to a palpable lack of care and poor management from the owners. While the gym boasts a serviceable selection of equipment, much of it is dated and often out of service. The absence of specific items like a chest-supported row and a 45-degree hyper-extension machine is also a noticeable shortcoming for those with more specialized training needs. The most significant issue, however, lies in the pervasive lack of gym etiquette, which points directly to the hands-off approach of the ownership. The environment is frequently disorganized, with plates left scattered across the floor or on the wrong racks. It's common to see mismatched weights haphazardly placed together. Furthermore, equipment often goes missing, creating a consistent hassle. Sometimes, it can take 15-20 minutes just to find the tools you need for your workout, a significant waste of time. This general disregard for cleanliness and order makes for a less than ideal training atmosphere and suggests the owners don't really care about the day-to-day member experience. Compounding these frustrations is a rigid and unhelpful management policy. After five months into my second consecutive year of a paid-in-full annual membership, a request for a refund was denied. This refusal to offer a reasonable solution, especially after investing in multiple yearly commitments, reveals a concerning lack of consideration for member satisfaction and underscores the poorly run nature of the facility.
The gym has come a long way in terms of appearance but they could use an upgrade to their unprofessional staff. This is a local gym that has catered to just that the local crowd. The gym is small the machines are broken a lot of the time and the smell is that of a locker room dudgeon. Zero windows or light down below if you like hot muggy artificial light I guess it a place to work out. The crowd as I said is made up of local territorial people who think they own machines and have zero issue having an extended conversation while people are waiting to use the machines The trainers are there to help I guess the clients? They are not approachable or friendly which leads to a weird uneasy vibe. Overall it’s a gym and for the price it’s not worth it. Update. They will debit your account and tell you you’re in a contract and refuse to let you out if you’re dissatisfied with their service zero apology and zero customer service. Run from this place and they will run your debit card a day early and when you call them they credit you back so they know they are doing it which is illegal. Worst customer service experience all the way around.
I only gave 4 stars because even though the gym is large, it is lacking in a few pieces of equipment and could use more benches and free weights. The gym is one of the few with Saunas as well. The folks working there are super and very friendly. I also like the fact they put out sweat towels for your use. Every morning the place is very clean and in order. All in all, a good gym! 👍
One of the best gyms I’ve been to, in terms of how much equipment there is and how much space they offer especially since it does not get overly busy. Only negative is the staff can be unprofessional, often times noted to be displaying PDA with their partners (who are not staff). It can be uncomfortable to see staff kissing etc and is a little unprofessional
