I dropped in from out of town for an open mat, and had a great time. The coaches and other students were all very friendly and helpful. I got in lots of good rolls, some of them hard rolls, but no one was reckless or out of control. The gym culture seems outstanding The facility is also very good with large mat space, a boxing ring, and an MMA cage. Resurgence seems like a great place to train, and I will be back in the future.
I submit to you my top reasons for choosing Resurgence: 1. The people here are incredibly friendly. From the coaches to the members I am consistently saying to myself “wow that person was really nice”. 2. The facility is the best in the area and the owner is improving it every day. 3. It is an elite level gym that welcomes all levels. If you are looking to get into MMA or looking elevate your game, look no further. This place is incredible and will truly take your breath away.
I dropped into Resurgence while home for winter break. The instructors were super knowledgeable and welcoming and so were the students. I liked the structure and flow of the class as it was a good balance of drilling and live rolls. I will definitely be continuing to come back when in town and can’t recommend this spot enough!
Resurgence Jiu-Jitsu is truly top-tier. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the positive energy, the respect, and the genuine passion for the sport. The environment is clean, welcoming, and perfect for anyone, whether you’re just starting out or have years of experience. Coach Andrew is the heart of the gym. His knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu is incredible, and he has a gift for breaking down techniques in a way that makes them easy to understand and apply. He’s patient, motivating, and always willing to take extra time to help you improve. Every class feels structured, purposeful, and fun because of his leadership. Training at Resurgence has boosted my confidence, skillset, and overall love for Jiu-Jitsu. If you’re looking for a place with high-level instruction and a supportive community, this is it. Highly recommend!
Great gym, great atmosphere, great people. I popped in to train for a day and I was welcomed with open arms, wasn’t treated any different, and had a great training session. Not to mention great facilities I love that there is a ring and a cage. I’ll be coming back for sure whenever I am in the area.
