Our daughter has had the best experience at MAGT. She has been there for 3+ years. The Blackmer family and their support staff are a blessing for the community. Constantly encouraging kids to reach their best potential and to be good people. It is about Tae Kwon Do to be sure, but it’s also about growth and integrity. Thank you MAGT!

Martial Arts Grand Traverse is an enriching and exciting experience for my child each week. Master Blackmer is pretty spectacular overall. She is an excellent teacher- always strong and encouraging with her students. The belt testing ceremonies are both precious and impressive as we observe the various belt levels within the school. Despite its small size, it’s an organized business…which is largely due to Master Blackmer’s many roles within the school. She’s a wonderful mentor for my young daughter. My seven-year-old is hooked!

Just a wonderful selection of martial arts and kind teachers. Really know what they're doing. Come on in and talk to Miss Blackmere about what you're trying to learn and she'll help you get on your martial arts journey right away at any level!

This is the BEST activity I have found for my child. My child's respect for adults has improved so drastically! Mrs. Blackmer is patient and kind with everyone. Which makes her the perfect instructor for any child! I seriously don't know how she is always so calm with everything! But she is! She is great at breaking down the moves into small steps for all the kids to understand. I can honestly say this is one of the best choices I have made for my kiddo it is a solid 10/10 highly recommend! My kid LOVES all of the instructors and every second of this class! Every kid I see their you can tell they love it! Seriously if you're thinking about it just do it you will not regret it! I promise!

This is an excellent martial arts school! Mrs. Blackmer is great with students of all ages. Her classes are well structured, and she incorporates life values into every class. She also hosts seminars to provide her students with opportunities to further their skills.
