I started my career in Martial Arts with Josh in the Army Combatives program in 2010. He is one of the most well rounded coaches I know. Super friendly, and puts significant effort into constructing his lesson plans.
Great place to train, I really enjoyed the coaching and overall atmosphere of the gym. I am working in the area for an few weeks and they made me feel like it was my home gym in my very first session in class. If I ever come to Minnesota again I will for sure train at this location in Plymouth.
I highly recommend the Academy Plymouth. I walked in six months ago without any martial arts experience, and the coaches and fellow students were kind and welcoming from day one. Coaches John, Josh, Luke, Andre (and others) are highly skilled professionals who show patience and respect to a wide range of students of varying skill and ability levels. They've managed to create an inclusive atmosphere where egos are checked at the door. Joining the Academy Plymouth is a great way to hone your skills, get in shape and have fun doing it!
Great place for players of all levels to practice Jiu Jitsu. I was here only briefly while traveling in-state, but during the 5/6 visits to Academy I had some incredible rolls with the students and learned some really cool techniques (both gi and no gi) from the coaches.
Plymouth Martial Arts Academy is an awesome spot to train. The instructors are friendly, the classes are varied, and anyone—no matter their experience—can join in and learn something new. Everyone here is really welcoming, making it easy to make friends and get help from others during classes. It’s a fantastic place for getting fit, learning self-defense, and having a good time.
