Edited my review down to 4 stars because the drinks in the vending machine are full sugar drinks except a couple energy drinks. After a work out I don't wanna gain all those calories I just burnt back with a single drink 😂. The HVAC system isn't amazing neither. I'm not sure if they just set it high or what but it's warmer than it should be in my opinion. Working out I like to be just about cold when I start and after moving and working out I warm up. Went to the gym for the first time today. I was worried because I read another comment on here about it being dirty and not having showers etc. Well a lot must have changed in 2 years because this gym is super clean has great modern equipment. They have awesome tiled showers. The only thing I could tell is that the HVAC system isn't perfect. It was a little warmer than I like it BUT other from that this gym is perfect. Best equipment and modernized gym in columbia. I will definitely be keeping my membership here.
I was finally able to explore multiple components of the gym! Screaming 📣 I’m in LOVE! Everything I needed from the mirror walls to the jump ropes to the privacy I crave was readily available. Clean, modern, classy 🥰 I came in stressed and teary eyed but I’m leaving hydrated, stretched and focused!
I’ve been a member of DTG for several years & this is the place to be! The staff is knowledgeable & always come up with different workouts that can accommodate anyone no matter what fitness level you may be at. If group workouts aren’t your thing, it offers 24/7 access to an open gym & top notch equipment.
I've been a member here for a long time and this is my favorite gym ever! I love that I can use the gym 24/7 and that there are so many options for personal training and other classes. The treadmills are my the best ones I've ever used, too! I also love the fact that I can bring my children and they have a place to play while I work out.
This gym is an overall let down. You walk in and see tons of equipment and think "dang this must be a good gym", but I'm reality you have to pay hundreds of dollars to use the other two thirds of the gym. This is understandable once you realize that it's for classes anly, but this is not specified during sign up. Another bad thing about this gym is that there is no air conditioning or heat. During the summer, the temperatures are unbearable during the day time. I've seen it well over 80 degrees in there. During the winter, it can be pretty chilly in there at times. There are fans in the gym, but Marcellus, the head trainer, will scold you if you touch his precious fans. Speaking of Marcellus, he is one of the main reasons why I left. He seems to heavily discriminate against you if you don't pay for his workout classes. I'd put money on him being bipolar because you never know what kind of mood he'll be in or what new rule he will make up. The only reason I gave this gym two stars instead of one is because of the other staff at the gym (with the exception of the janitorial ladies I'll touch on that later). The other trainers are very nice especially Mike. Mike is a certified stud and I believe he could turn that gym around if he was in charge. Marcellus was out for a few weeks due to a procedure and Mike was in charge for a couple weeks due to that factor. During that time, the gym was in a better shape than I've ever seen it. Although the gym was in this somewhat better condition, you could definitely tell the day Marcellus returned. Everything was right back to normal. Another issue with this gym was the sanitation of the facility. If I can find the picture I will attach it but the dumbbells were absolutely filthy. This isn't the only thing by far just the only thing I have a picture of. There are no changing rooms or showers, only bathrooms used by looks great services employees, some of who were never potty trained. They have apparently been working on a new changing room and showers but have made very little progress during the year that I've been a member there. Overall, I do not recommend this gym unless your a married women because Marcellus seems to like those. Don't let the cheap price tag fool you, you get access to very limited equipment and have to improvise on a lot of different workouts. There are way better gyms in the area than this.
