I come or I try to come to this gym on Thursdays and some Saturdays to get some extra training in with Matt. Everyone is very nice and professional. Great place to train. Jiu-Jitsu.

I've been trying to get tuition information and other enrollment information for the past 2 weeks, and they do not return my calls and emails. Also, I was a student there in 2016, long timme ago I know, and I tapped out his assistant instructors repeatedly due to being highly trained in Japanese and Okinawan arts. They never informed the professoor of that and have even falsely accused me of lying about it since then. The professor never comes to class. He is there less than one hour per month last time I was enrolled there. Also, he and his students spread lies about me on the internet, claiming that i didn't pay tuition last time and claiming that i faked my karate and JJJ rank. I did no such thing. Last time, raphael and Michael (who no longer works for him,) permitted me to wear my JJJ brown belt to class and said I was roughly "different but equal to a BJJ brown belt anyway base on experience and training." so I wore my JJJ brown belt to class. Then his assistant instructors got pisseed off at me because i was so much better at striking than them they wouldn't even let me work on the regular punching bag and made me use a 500 pound bag that was full of lead shot, which hurt my hands. Then they never promoted me "officially" even though I was tapping out the black belts as often as not in "rolls". Then they come on the internet and deny that and ccall me delusional and stuff like that. If I could get a lawyer, I'd sue their behinds right now. There is a person who slanders me online every single day who must be from his school, and i swear to God I've never done anything wrong to any of them.

We first reached out to Gracie as an option to help my daughter deal with bullying in school. Her confidence was low, and she was being tormented by other children. At first glance this place seemed amazing. My daughter absolutely loved being there. The instructors were awesome with the kids. They are patient, kind, but firm with the rules. My daughter dove head first into classes, attending 4 per week. She had a great time learning. As children sometimes do, she decided not to pursue Jujitsu any longer. That is where my experience changes. When signing up, the person signing us up said that he wasn't usually the person that did thaf paperwork. He told me to read the cancellation policy. I thought that I understood, but I guess I didn't understand it. Now I am being told that despite my daughter not attending classes for several months, and just recently having hit the year mark, I have to pay two additional months of payments. Overall: 3.75 stars Instructors: 5 Stars Ease of signup: 5 stars Curriculum: 5 stars Communication about scheduling changes: 5 stars Cost: 4 stars Cancellation policy: 0 stars Consumer Beware: Not attending for two months and then canceling will not fulfill their very strict cancellation policy despite the most recent regulations on cancellation policies for recurring billed items.

I've been training at Gracie United for about six months and I cannot stress how much of a good experience it has been. As a woman, I had a lot of anxiety over joining a martial arts gym as they are predominately male-dominated spaces, but the crew at this gym has been welcoming and helpful as I've started my self-defense journey. Seriously, this crew is top-notch and I'm thankful that I've found a welcoming place to train and challenge myself to keep growing.
