I'm about 6 months late with this review (finally figured out a technical glitch with my Google account!), but I really wanted to shout out to Matt and the team at DC Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve been training as a hobbyist for about 4 years now and I try to drop into other gyms whenever I’m on the road. My experience here was easily one of the best I've had. Matt ran a fantastic class and even provided a private lesson that was incredibly helpful for my game. The environment is very friendly and welcoming to visitors, but the grappling itself is high-level and technical. It’s the perfect balance for anyone looking to get better in a great atmosphere. If you’re in the area or just passing through, definitely make time to stop in. Thanks again, Matt!
I've been training at this gym in Gardnerville for a few weeks, and it's been great experience . The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, making it a great place for both beginners and advanced students. The gym is clean, and the community is friendly and welcoming. Whether you want to compete or just get in shape, I would definitely recommend this gym to anybody.
I signed up about 2 months ago and I can’t say enough good things about DC Jiu Jitsu. Matt has a top notch gym full of high quality people . My two sons (12 and 8 years old) and myself have been welcomed in and have been loving the training. It’s like family in there.For anyone thinking of giving Jiu Jitsu a shot for the first time like me I say “go talk to Matt at DC” . Tired and sweaty and can’t get enough every time ! Schedules and organization is on point too which is important as a busy family. Matt and his high level coaches will have you hooked!!!
I've trained at many jiu Jitsu schools in various cities, states and countries; this place is right at the top with the best. Great instructors, clean family friendly facility and genuine people. Such a great asset to the community and pricing is incredibly inexpensive for high level instruction. All levels and ages (including kids) will progress at DC Jiu Jitsu. DC Jiu Jitsu encourages a team environment where nobody looses and everybody learns. Owner and head instructor Matt Tamondong is a well accomplished Jiu Jitsu practitioner and its a true pleasure learning from one of the best
Quite simply put the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in all of Minden/Gardnerville. The training and level of instruction is top notch. Unlike some other schools, you will be treated with the utmost respect by Professor Matt Tamondong and other DC Jiu Jitsu staff/instructors. There are no ego's here, only the willingness to learn and improve every single day! Come on in and roll! OSS!
