There are not enough words to express what a lovely, welcoming, kind, enthusiastic, encouraging, inspiring place this truly is! During my first class I was greeted and asked my name by just about EVERYONE else there, making me feel very welcomed and something I’ve never experienced at any other gym. I’ve since fostered a great community of friends and always look forward to going! Eric is a fantastic coach who is very good at creating a learning environment for everyone, and will encourage you to do your best, regardless of prior experience! The level of care for safety, correct technique and humor make training here a marvelous time ! I couldn’t recommend it enough thank you
I can’t say enough good things about this gym and Coach Eric. From day one, the team made me feel welcome and supported. There’s a great group of people here who truly inspire you to be better every single day. Coach Eric knows how to push you just the right amount so you can grow physically and mentally. This is an amazing place to learn the fundamentals of Muay Thai and then go far beyond them. I honestly didn’t think I could get back in shape, let alone compete, but thanks to Coach Eric and the gym, I trained hard and even participated in my first exhibition event! This team believed in me more than I believed in myself, and that made all the difference. If you’re looking for a gym that teaches real Muay Thai, builds confidence, and feels like family, this is the place. Highly recommend Elm City Muay Thai!
Elm city Muay Thai is an awesome gym. You get real detailed Muay Thai training. Coach Eric is awesome. If you’re new you don’t just get thrown in. Eric shows you how to stand how to strike kick etc. Everyone is wicked friendly and no one is ever a bully to anyone. That behavior wouldn’t be tolerated. It’s a family. Real people real friends. Real love for the Muay Thai and the people training. It has changed my life. So check it out you won’t be disappointed.
Coach Eric was awesome! I've been twice now and each time he and the rest of the class welcomed me and made me feel like family. Eric partnered me with a experienced student, Dan, to practice. Both Coach Eric and Dan had just the right amount of tips to keep me learning without overwhelming. Other students like Kenny came up on breaks, introduced themselves, and checked in on how I was doing. Sparing went very well with each student respecting my novice skill and not going full force along with giving me great tips on how to block or better stance. It was a great workout, awesome people, I learned a lot, and had a fun time! Elm City Muay Thai is worth a visit if you are new or experienced! Eric is helping 5 of the more experienced people train to compete in June! It's amazing watching them spar!
An amazing gym run by amazing people. Everyone always makes me feel welcomed and included. The coach, Eric, is very knowledgeable and patient with beginners so I never feel out of place 10 out of 10.
