Great boxing gym, members are very friendly, dedicated and helpful. Amazing environment for young boys. Staff is very knowledgeable and extremely motivating. My son started training with Lawrence over a year ago when he was 13 and I have watched him develop into a fundamentally sound young boxer. Lawrence is great to work with, emphasizes the importance of learning the proper fundamentals in the right order as well as how crucial it is to remain fit. His sessions are productive and challenging. We are a big fan of Lawrence and highly recommend him as a trainer.
Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and a great place to learn the sport. If you're looking for a trainer, Lawrence is great.
Incredible experience for my football players. I have sent multiple football players there and Lawrence has been an incredible asset to developing them as better football players but more importantly as better young men. Boxing helps with their athleticism, conditioning and toughness. Lawrence pushes them to become a better version of themselves
Excellent gym. Excellent coaching with Dom and Frankie! Bags, space and ring! Several pros and world title winners get work here. Excellent place to get motivated and inspired!!
Rey's 1-star review needs to be addressed. The hours are many and varied, and posted on the main door, and the gym is usually open both earlier and later than the posted hours. The owners are a world championship level fighter and spouse, one of the best trainers/promoters. The gym is a labor of love, not just a business. This is the finest place on Long Island for the development of both real, world class fighters, and for regular folks who want to earn to box, get in shape, even take part in one of the Long Island charity boxing events, such as those covered on local news every night during the autumn. I'm a doctor and a lifelong, semiserious practitioner of the sport; there are more people coming from my direction, people of every age, fighters you'll see on TV, kids, homemakers, male, female (used to specialize in women's boxing). "Someone in the back" was probably a member working out who wasn't in a position to promote the gym, or to unlock the wrong door the person was knocking on. This is home base, the playground, and a serious place to train at any level, and known to every boxing person on Long Island and beyond. The owners are just fine people, who keep a great, welcoming, challenging but friendly and non-intimidating environment. People come and they just make it part of their lives. See for yourself.
