Excellent beginner/developmental boxing training for my 6 year old son. At this age, half the battle is the teaching and acceptance of real world discipline and maturity. Coach Islam - who expertly balances patience and discipline - has been able train my son, with incredible strides, in all of these facets. There are closer gyms, but this facility is far beyond all competitors specifically for kids ages 5-10 (which is all I can speak to). I suspect that we will be continuing with Coach Islam and Slick Sluggers for years.

I’ve been training here for close to 3 years, and since starting, I’ve become more disciplined, gotten into much better shape, and drastically improved my fighting ability. Every coach here is friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about the people they train. The people who train here are just as welcoming and supportive, which makes the gym a great environment to grow in. If you’re on the fence or just curious, I recommend giving it a try — you never know how much it might change things for you.

Before I came to Slick Sluggers we tried to Get our son into various Sports ! He didn’t respond well to group activities because there was to much going on and his attention span was short . It was hard watching other kids excel at soccer basketball ball etc and ur boy was just fooling around and overlooked without the proper mentorship. Not until I Found this Organization and saw true potential in My boy and I believed that he could focus when so many people Doubted him . I’m a proud Father who takes pride in seeing Him Excel Thanks to the Atmosphere and Professionalism of this Staff and crew . Slick sluggers is all around an awesome place to be. Coach Ji was awesome and helped get me into boxing more than I thought I would. Aside from the personal trainers, the group classes are great, everyone there no matter the level encourages you to be better and you can tell that the trainers truly want to help you get better. Wouldn’t recommend another place other than Slick Sluggers to get your boxing career started.
