I’ve been training in combat sports since 1998, and I’ve spent time at some of the most respected gyms in the country—from Brooklyn Fight Factory to training under the legendary Kaensak Muay Thai. I was on the amateur team at American Top Team from 2009–2012 while Kelly Anundson was there as a Pro. Despite the gap in rank, Kelly coached me through multiple sessions. His technical depth was absolutely superb. Even compared to the world-class striking of someone like Master Kaensak, Kelly’s mastery of the wrestling and MMA grind is in a league of its own. If you are at High Point MMA, you are learning from a coach who knows exactly how to bridge the gap from amateur to elite. After nearly three decades in this sport, I can honestly say Kelly’s coaching remains the gold standard. It’s great to see you’ve built your own powerhouse at High Point. You and your wife deserve the success!

Coach Kelly is amazing in all aspects of the sport. He took my son and turned him into a competitor who has now won Gold in multiple tournaments. Under Coach Kelly, my son has learned discipline, trust, and how to be a good sport. I couldn’t thank the coaches enough for what they have taught my son. I highly recommend.

Our kids (and us as parents) love Battleborn! The coaches(Kelly and Wendy) are above reproach always willing to work hard as your kids work hard! They teach good sportsmanship, honor and integrity on and off the mat! We are so blessed to have this gym in our town! If you have kids and are wondering if this is a gym to check out, please do! From this mama of 5 kids I am more than impressed with our experience at Battleborn BJJ & MMA.
