My 5 year old son just completed 20 weeks at NW fighting arts, we would have continued if we weren’t moving, we are so grateful for you guys, you’ve made such a huge impact on Eli’s life these last few months I know this will be something he remember and carries with him for the rest of his life! I started him in martial arts originally to help him learn a healthy way to get through a rough time in our life when he was getting angry so often and I didn’t know what to do to help him. Then I saw a Groupon for NWFA, bought it and signed him up the next day! He loved it right from the first class, the instructors were so amazing with the kids, it’s rare to see coaches/instructors know how to communicate with/teach small children in a gentle but stern way that makes them feel comfortable or give constructive criticism without hurting their feelings, something I was worried about before we started. Not only have they taught him to better follow direction, different styles of martial arts and healthy discipline, but they taught him how to have a healthy outlet for what he was dealing with, that’s what I’m most thankful for! His outbursts have been way less since starting. He loved every instructor, every class, every game you played, all his classmates and he couldn’t wait to get to every class especially his last one getting his yellow belt was one of the coolest proudest moments for him(and me:)) so thank you to all the coaches and especially Coach Stephen, watching you train with the kids, Eli especially is something I will never forget, your an amazing person you should be proud! Very welcoming gym, you are a part of the team as soon as you walk through the door. No one higher or below you and all treated equal. Great experienced coaches. All staff made me feel very welcome. If you are ever in Portland, drop in and get amongst it. Thank you for having me all the way from New Zealand.
Northwest Fighting Arts is AWESOME!! All the trainers are fantastic! I started 6 months ago and have lost 20 pounds but inherited a lot of energy and strength along with confidence and a determination to continue with healthy eating, exercising , and having tons of fun! Check it out! 😃
