Nice looking place. Unfortunately I was greeted by a short little angry man named river. He's extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming to new people. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. A friend of mine that trains there said he's a real problem there. Not a great way to represent a brand to have this jerk working there or even training there.
Listen, if you are serious about becoming experienced in martial arts look no further than American Top Team in Happy Valley. I have been to most of the martial arts/MMA gyms in the area and American Top Team by far reigns at the top for me. Between the AMAZING coaches, who are all very established, kind and concentrated on making YOU better, and the beautiful and spacious buildings designed to give YOU space and freedom as you practice becoming the best you can be, this place is truly like no other. If you want quality, then come here . I am so very enthralled and excited that I found this place after months of searching for the right gym to call home. The atmosphere & camaraderie felt here are unmatched. I just wanted to get on here & give a real shout out to this place from an old wrestler who stumbled in from the streets, looking for brothers & sisters to make a mark on this world with. Absolutely LOVING it.
I was in town for the week working at Penn State. I called them before hand and the gym welcomed me with open arms. Everyone was very friendly on and off the mat. There is tough competition here but every level has a place here. Thank you guys for the unforgettable experience.
It's a great time! I've been training here for a few months now and it's been an amazing every time I've gone! I do the boxing classes with Coach Musa Alsulaimani (moose). He is a very nice & experienced boxer. He makes you feel welcome within your first few moments. You will find out that everyone there is extremely nice and nobody makes fun of anyone, nor is that tolerated. This place is a great stress relief and just a fun time for anyone who wants to learn some mma. It is beginner/experienced friendly.
My son and I were in the State College area from Cleveland and had arranged for him to participate in ATT's Friday PM kids' classes. A horrible snowstorm caused Marcel to cancel the classes for safety concerns. He went out of his way to arrange for my son to come into the gym on early Saturday morning and roll with his son while he provided private instruction. Just an absolutely phenomenal experience and, despite a 3 1/2 hour drive, we'll be back again. If Marcel treated us (complete strangers) this well, I can only imagine how well he treats his members. 👏
