Sorry for this being so long but it’s important for me to include every detail. No problem with the people there but I got scammed out of 300 dollars. I called to cancel my membership and was told he cancelled it and was all set. It stopped charging my card for months while in the meantime a number kept calling me but would either get sent to spam, i wasn't able to answer, or when i called back it was an automated robot talking about my planet fitness account and not my fitness edge account so i thought nothing of it. It sent me a voicemail that it was for fitness edge so i made sure to answer the next time and as i answered there was no words for 10 seconds and then it hung up. I blocked the number continuing to think nothing of it as i still wasn't being affected by anything to my knowledge. Later i got sent an automated text saying i signed up for fitness edge alerts and was confused so i emailed the email provided and as i did that it said that i had an ongoing past due balance of around 300 dollars that i had no clue about. I later called to clear it up hoping to talk to the owner but whoever picked up was rude from the start refusing to tell me when the owner would be there but i instead tried to talk to him about the situation. He denied anyone ever told me my membership was cancelled and denied that the money not being charged on my account when i was told it was cancelled wasn’t their fault or a coincidence but instead “my card expired.” (My card never expired) He also said they didn't cancel memberships on the phone and i replied by saying i understand that but i wasn't told that by whoever i called and asked if i could come in to cancel it and he said id have to pay this money that i didn't know i was being charged. After more made up lies and disrespect after i was nothing but respectful i asked one last time if he knows when the owner will be there and he again refused to tell me and hung up. Im going there soon to try and clear this up and hopefully not pay the money that i didn’t know i was being charged but even if i do clear it up and not pay just be mindful that this could happen to you. (Also somewhat unrelated but before this i had stopped going for about 3 months while letting it still charge me because i wasn’t sure if id be going back or not. That being said i allowed them to take about 300-400 dollars without even using the gym and they still tried or did scam me out if an extra 300 dollars after cancelling with this whole situation) Great people to work with but absolutely horrible customer service and risk of being scammed.
In an area that has some amazing gyms, FEMMA is outstanding. You’ll be challenged to find a more welcoming space and that’s before you consider the massive amount of talent in front of and among the class. Their deep schedule was what originally attracted me but after six months here I can confidently say it’s one of the best gyms I’ve seen in 5+ years in the sport.
We absolutely love this place! The kids' program is outstanding—structured, engaging, and truly fun. Our child has not only learned valuable martial arts skills but has also grown in confidence and discipline. The atmosphere is amazing—welcoming, energetic, and very family-friendly. The instructors are phenomenal: knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress. They create a positive learning environment that motivates the kids while still making it fun. Highly recommend this gym to any family looking for a great martial arts program for their children!
My son has been in the kids program for two years ,such an amazing place for him to learn coaches are very knowledgeable and very professional, after watching him for two years I joined in Jan and I love it place is always clean.
This place is incredible. The coaches, staff, and other members are all so helpful. I was admittedly nervous to start trying to learn Muay Thai, Boxing, and Brazilian Jui Jitsu at almost 33 years old, but there are people of all ages attending these classes. Do yourself a favor and learn from the best here at FEMMA!
