Enrolling my 6 year old in the kids jiu jitsu class has been a great experience. Joseph has a way of connecting with the kids and making class fun and challenging. This class helps instill the essential principles of respect, resilience, focus, and discipline, all while having so much FUN! Definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic martial arts gym right here in Port Isabel. Our 10 year old son had been doing BJJ for several years, and we were worried we might not find a gym here for him when we moved from Washington state. We need not have worried. The coach, parents and other students at SPI were fantastic and welcoming. Watching Coach Joseph, his rapport with kids is amazing. Our son loves going to class, and has continued to make good progress. This is a fantastic gym for kids. The adults seem to have almost as much fun, so I think it's good for them.

Thank goodness my friend Renee recommended SPI BJJ & Fitness!! My life has greatly improved from training with Joseph. I have much more energy, feeling great and ready to take on more from every direction. Joseph is the best of the best….he’s 100% in tune at each step, maintaining an optimum pace forward. His positive feedback and encouragement over the past months has made a huge difference. I’m actually looking forward to the golden years rather than dreading them as I can now see that I will be feeling great. I highly recommend SPI BJJ for any age or fitness level. SPIBJJ offers something for our entire family. my son has taken so much away from the kids karate and jiu jitsu programs. i myself am a member of the adult jiu jitsu team. mom also does the "boot camp" program. thank you SPIBJJ!
