First time in San Antonio. Here on vacation. Found Heavy Metal Fitness listed on the USA Powerlifting website as a powerlifting friendly gym. The owner Tim was super friendly. Came up and introduced himself to me after getting signed in by the front office staff, also very welcoming. They have everything you need for training, either as a powerlifter, strongman, or just general fitness enthusiast. Not overcrowded. No wait for racks or machines. Calibrated Kilo plates and pound plates. Specialty bars. You name it. Just overall a great experience. Would highly recommend!

Got to train here while I was in town. The facility is amazing and had everything I needed for my strongman and powerlifting training! The owners were so welcoming and the members were very friendly! Wonderful community I look forward to training there the next time I visit San Antonio!

Top of the line fitness facility. Very clean, plenty of room around each piece of equipment. Big shout out to their professional staff - so friendly and knowledgeable. This is a top tier gym. My highest recommendation!

In town visiting and found this gem. Not a typical commercial gym but perfect for a locally own strength and conditioning facility for the serious athlete. Owners and staff were very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend this gym!

This is not just a fitness center, it is like a family! You feel very comfortable. The owner Tim Ingram is absolutely wonderful and very very knowledgeable. He has a degree in kinesiology along with many certifications not to mention that he is an awesome personal trainer! One of his former trainee and gym members Jackie was chosen for the first season of the Titan Games with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. That is a testament in itself. I totally enjoy working out and getting strong at Heavy Metal!
