We had a fantastic experience with Revolution MMA! My 5-year-old son attended both the homeschool classes and some evening Jiu-Jitsu classes, and he absolutely loved them. Coach Spencer was amazing with the kids. He struck the perfect balance between being fun, encouraging, and maintaining structure and discipline. As a homeschooling parent, I really appreciated seeing my son build confidence, learn respect, develop coordination, and burn off some energy in a positive environment. The classes were welcoming, age-appropriate, and engaging, and the instructors genuinely seemed to care about each child's progress. My son was always excited to go and proud of what he was learning. If you're looking for a great martial arts program for young children, especially homeschool families, I highly recommend Revolution MMA and Coach Spencer. We're very grateful for the positive experience!
Two years waiting and still no Saturday sessions. Wonder if they plan to open any for kids or should I find other martial arts for kids,
Naz is so great at creating a comfortable and welcoming space for everyone. We had a private group class with ages 30 - 70! Naz adjusted each activity so everyone could participate at their comfort level and still be able to enjoy and feel like they were part of the activities. We definitely worked up a good sweat! The conversation afterwards at lunch was about how great the studio is and how everyone felt supported and not made to feel silly or stupid because they didn't know what they were doing. I've only done the women's classes, and now this private group class. Naz is an excellent instructor, and Rochelle, the owner, is super easy to communicate with!
We just had our son's 5th birthday party here and everyone had a blast! Spencer was fantastic with the kids and entertained them with various activities. I had many compliments from the parents who enjoyed watching their kids interact with one another and try a new sport. I highly recommend and would do it again myself! Our son now wants to sign up for martial arts classes =)
We waited a few months before writing a review so we could really get a feel for Revolution, and we are so glad we did. The new owners, Spencer and Rochelle, have been wonderful. Our two younger kids started in September through the after-school pickup program, and we have always felt safe and well informed. Communication with parents is excellent, and the program is very well run. Our younger kids have gained confidence, strength, and skill in jiu-jitsu and MMA while having a lot of fun. Our oldest was hesitant to join but Spencer and Rochelle were incredibly patient and supportive. Now our oldest asks to go all the time. We feel very lucky to have found Revolution. The family-friendly environment, focus on work ethic and growth, and great instructors have made it a fantastic experience for our kids.
