Jason is a mentor and a trainer of my boyfriend. I’ve known him for 4 years now. I’ve seen him hustle within those years, not only within the boxing gym but also mentoring people in life. His dedication is not only for the love of boxing, but truly for his passion to help others. His talent, tenacity, wit, and big heart are just a few traits that makes him a great leader. He is a student of life just as much of a teacher. Jason has a hunger to keep learning and better himself for his work and for the people that he loves. Truly an inspiring person. Because of him and his fighters, I realized that boxing is not just a sport but an art for warriors.

When I started training with Jason, my biggest challenge was landing punches during sparring. He helped me become more comfortable seeing punches coming at me and taught me how to counter effectively off my opponents’ attacks. One of the biggest improvements I made was learning not to telegraph my punches and to disguise my intentions better. My favorite parts of his system were the counterpunching drills, the boxing-wrestling integration, and the hand-trapping sequences — they completely changed how I think and react in the ring. What makes Jason different is his genuine passion for boxing. He’s not just another ex-fighter trying to make a buck; he studies the game like an obsession. His attention to detail and dedication helped me stay sharp and fully prepared going into competition, which led to winning my first and second amateur fights and earning silver at the provincial Bronze Gloves. Jason lives and breathes this sport, and it shows in every student he coaches.

When I first started, I had no sparring experience but wanted to compete for the first time. Training with Jason was incredibly beneficial — he built me up from the fundamentals and gave me a strong defensive foundation. One of the biggest lessons I learned was how to stay out of the punching lane using concepts like the “ice cream hitbox” and pool noodle model drills. The noodle drill with slipping and rolling quickly became one of my favorites; it helped me connect defensive rhythm with real movement. Jason’s coaching style is personalized, patient, and analytical — he tailors everything to how you learn best. He’s taught me most of what I know in boxing, from defense and head movement to feints and strategy. That foundation led me to win gold at the provincial Bronze Gloves tournament. If you want to truly understand boxing on a deeper level and improve fast, Jason’s the coach to go to.

When I first started private boxing lessons with Jason, I was honestly intimidated. The idea of learning something as intricate as boxing, from footwork to jabs, hooks, defense, and even basic sparring concepts, felt overwhelming, especially with someone who has as much knowledge and experience as he does. But Jason made me feel comfortable right away. In every boxing training session, he breaks down each technique step by step and explains why we are doing it. He has taught me how to throw proper jabs and crosses, how to turn my hips and shoulders into my hooks, how to move my feet so I stay balanced, and how to keep my guard tight for better defense and counters. I can actually feel my coordination, power, and confidence improving with each session. I have never hit pads the way I do with Jason. His padwork feels very intentional and realistic, like he is training my reactions, timing, and combinations instead of just having me throw random punches. You can genuinely feel his passion as a coach every time we train, and it makes me excited to keep learning. He also included a fully structured boxing system for free. This is really something I have never seen before. It is as if there is already a textbook for everything Jason teaches in his sessions, and you are able to look it over and review beforehand. This gave me the flexibility to really dig deep in my own time and come into each private boxing lesson feeling more prepared and aware of what we are working on. If you are nervous about starting one on one boxing training but want to learn proper technique and actually see yourself improve, I would definitely recommend training with Jason.
