I had no previous martial arts experience and the beginner classes were the perfect place to learn. The instructors are the best kind to have, people who really care and are willing to put in extra effort for you, in both the beginner and advanced classes, and that attitude is clear in all the students too. Very highly recommend it, I feel extremely lucky I found this gym. Don't be scared to start!
Have been attending CTB classes for a year now and can't say a single bad thing. It's definitely the best gym I've been to. Sensei Wayne and his team have a very deep understanding of everything they teach and say. Always there to help and go in depth with every technique. Definitely recommended this gym to everyone.
Definitely having a blast here at Coastal Union. Everyone there is super friendly and are very welcoming to beginners. Everyone of different skill sets are welcomed there. Everyone is very helpful at Coastal Union and every class is very fun and energetic. Definitely learning a lot more than a previous place I had attended to previously, and it's also a very healthy type of exercise, which helps you boost your stamina and lose weight. Wayne is a great instructor and is very helpful when your having difficulty during class. He is very encouraging and is very welcoming to beginners, where if your not able to do something or don't know how to, you won't be hesitant to ask him. If your interested in learning Muay Thai, whether your a beginner or experienced, I would highly recommend you join Coastal Union.
I cannot express with just words how awesome of a place Coastal Union is. Everything from the atmosphere, to the training, to the people, makes it so you are bound to have a great time when coming here. Each class gives students an opportunity to learn new moves and improve existing techniques. They're also great for staying fit too! And don't worry if you have no experience; the class accommodates beginners and experts alike! I also just want to point out how great the instructor staff is. Wayne-Sensei really does the best job when teaching. He is knowledgeable, driven, and really cares about his students. I remember when I first started, with absolutely zero experience, he helped learn things that I never thought I was capable of. He teaches focus, really motivates you, and pushes you to always do your best. For anyone looking to continue or even just pick up Muay Thai, I highly recommend Coastal Union.
I have been training at Coastal Union Muay Thai for over a month now and absolutely love it!! The ENERGY inside is awesome and everyone there is friendly, and without ego. In just over a month I feel like I am getting in amazing shape while learning something new and improving my skills every class. I have also taken a few private classes with Head Instructor Wayne Li and it is definitely worth it. His attention to detail along with his technical knowledge, and ability to communicate that effectively to his students makes him an excellent instructor. If you want to get in great shape, while learning authentic Muay Thai then I highly recommend coming to train at Coastal Union!!!
