I've trained at Rise 8 for a little over a year now. Everyone at the gym has been very welcoming since day 1. Professor Dave is a great and patient teacher who makes techniques easy to understand. Rise 8 has a great gym culture and is a great place to learn BJJ. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants to learn something new and challenge themselves.
Rise 8 Training Academy is an outstanding BJJ gym with an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Everyone here is friendly, supportive, and always willing to help, no matter your experience level. Prof. Dave England has a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for teaching. He takes the time to explain techniques clearly and makes sure every student feels included and confident on the mats. I’m grateful to be part of this community and highly recommend Rise 8 to anyone looking to train in a positive and encouraging environment.
I have been training here for 2 years - brand new gym, clean mats with tons of space to roll, and most importantly, a great instructor and awesome gym-mates. Professor Dave is incredibly knowledgable and experienced, and explains things very clearly. have felt welcomed and included since day one and have made lifelong friends as a part of the journey.
