I highly recommend Twin Dragons Academy - Miami. From day one, what stands out the most is the discipline, martial spirit, energy, and positivity consistently reinforced in every class. The values taught here—honesty, dedication, discipline, loyalty, and responsibility—go far beyond training; they truly shape character and mindset. My son has been training in BJJ and MMA for about two and a half months, and I recently joined as well. I can confidently say that the level of commitment and attention that Master Tarrago gives to each student is exceptional. The quality of instruction and focus on continuous improvement are outstanding. One of the academy’s greatest achievements is the strong sense of family that has been built. This is clearly the result of the sensei’s dedication, personal sacrifice, and genuine passion for martial arts. Personally, I’ve been able to learn a great deal in a short time—not only in technique, but also in understanding the rules and principles of the discipline—thanks to Master Tarrago’s expertise and teaching approach. I highly recommend this academy to both parents and children looking to be part of a positive, disciplined, and supportive martial arts community.
I can’t say enough great things about this martial arts school. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed into a supportive and respectful environment that truly feels like a community. Master T is not only highly skilled, but also patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in each student’s progress, no matter their age or experience level.
Great karate classes . What really stands out is Master Tarrago—he teaches not just techniques, but how things apply in real life. It’s not just about forms, it’s about discipline, awareness, and practical self-defense. Classes are well structured, and he’s patient but still pushes you to improve. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and their growth, both physically and mentally. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something real and effective, not just a typical class.
My son participates in jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts at Twin Dragons. He started taking jiujitsu and MMA classes at the age of five and is now six. I am profoundly grateful to have discovered this place. The growth and discipline he has acquired are remarkable. Twin Dragons is more than just a martial arts academy; it is a community where everyone feels like family. Here is Our Story, Wow Where do I begin. In 2015, I was a very ambitious, misguided 18 year old, young adult with a dream of becoming a Mixed Martial Arts Fighter. During this time, I had googled Mixed Martial Arts gyms that were relatively affordable to me as at the time, I lived in the Florida Keys. I had just lost hope of fulfilling my dream as I was unable to afford training at some of the "top" MMA training academies close by. However, Twin Dragons Martial Arts was only 45 minutes away and the monthly fee for MMA training was a steal compared to other gyms. Little did I know that I would be the one to benefit from the lessons and training that were provided by MASTER TARRAGO and his team. Master T taught me many lessons that were applicable in Martial Arts and Life. He truly trains LIFE Champions. This man played a crucial role in my life and did nothing but push me every class that I had attended. He did this to all of his students. He was tough, but he was fair. He saw the potential in his students that they would not even see in themselves. In 2017, our time together had come to an end as I moved away to pursue my education. In 2018, I joined the Marine Corps. Master T's Physical and Mental training had played a major impact on my mental fortitude throughout the difficult training I faced. To this day, I think about our time together and reflect on all the lessons that he taught me. The Marine Corps stands for Honor, Courage, and Commitment. These core values were engraved into recruits from day one. But I had joined the organization with a very familiar sense to these values already and it was all thanks to Master T and his dedication to me. Twin Dragons MMA had prepared me for the future that God had planned for me and I never realized it. During our Time together, We shared Victories and losses. Together, I became one of the most active Amateur MMA fighters from 2015 - 2017 with a total of 12 fights, including 5 title fights. However, Losses were lessons and regardless of the outcome of our fights, we walked out with a victorious mindset. LIFE CHAMPIONS. Today I am 27 Years young, molded by the foundational values he had instilled in me that were refined throughout my military career in which i had excelled in. I still practice Martial Arts. at a professional level but I am still a student to the game and it is rare for me to learn fight concepts from others that Master T hasn't already taught me.
