My 4 year old daughter been training Jiu Jitsu at Team Rabadi for the past month and I can't recommend it enough! The instructors are highly skilled, approachable, and genuinely care about your progress. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the gym is well-equipped with everything you need to train. The team is supportive, and I can see my daughter has made great progress in the short amount of time she has been here. The camaraderie between students is also amazing, and you really feel like part of a family here. If you're looking to learn Jiu Jitsu in a positive and motivating environment, this is the place to do it!
Coach Miguel and the entire staff are outstanding highly recommend my 6 year old really enjoys it. Challenging adult classes and Muay Thai also as well as leadership programs.
I have 3 kids who joined the Rabadi family in April 2023. Started as something good for the kids, then good for our family, and now feels almost like extended family. Happened naturally as we got to know the coaches, the other students, and their parents. I have one kid who has an abundance of aggression, and another who doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, and the environment and culture built by Professor Robby and all the amazing coaches, combined with the way they teach the BJJ skills has been perfect for both of these very different children. It's ironic that the place my kids go to choke, punch, and kick each other is the place outside our home that feels the safest and most comfortable for them. I previewed other BJJ gyms before settling on Team Rabadi, but felt like the tough-guy culture was the wrong environment for my kids. They do a great job blending skills advancement, fun, and character development. Sometimes it's tough for the kids to overcome the inertia of the couch, but once they get to class, they are 100% always glad they're there, and have an amazing time. I can't imagine sending my kids anywhere else. I also believe the combo of BJJ and Muay Thai my kids are learning is the best path to practical self defense. And I really like how, compared to other martial arts, these disciplines are light on the rigid formality, and heavy on the practical application. If you decide to try out the free week, you'll see how your kids are immediately welcomed by other kids and coaches, how they're made to feel comfortable, and how much fun they have.
My five year old son and I have been training BJJ here for about a year, and it has been terrific overall, with a great community and staff for both the kids and adult classes. Doing BJJ is challenging, especially at first, but the instructors do a great job breaking things down and helping you to learn the fundamentals. The kids class has also been great for my son. It took a little time for him to adjust, but now he looks forward to class, seeing his friends, and wants to play/practice jitsu with me at home.
The kids program here is wonderful. My son is better at focusing and having self control, he started Jiu Jitsu a few months before school, the structure, discipline and coaching helped prepare him for the expectations of school. My daughter has been attending for 2 years now and she has so much confidence and an eagerness to learn, grow and excel. The coaches are helpful, friendly and encouraging.
