Great gym, kept extremely clean and everybody is very nice, especially the management Milan & Jeff!! I was originally going to try it out for a week but Milan gave me a nice tour of the gym and showed me all the new equipment they have to offer and I ended up signing up for a year. He goes above and beyond for the members. Best choice I made so far, thanks guys!
Hands down the best gym I have been to. I love how they switch up between genres of music (Rap, Rock, House, etc…). Friendly environment, machines are always well maintained, and new equipment is always arriving. Definitely worth the experience.
Best gym in town ACTUALLY. The owners put a lot of love into this place and that's something people notice. It doesnt feel like just another gym. It's new, it's clean, the staff are awesome! (Aaron, Connor, Milan, you guys rock) And you can tell that the owners thought through all of the little things, of all the ways they could improve our experience. I can come here and do everything I need to do. Workout, pose, sauna, shower, relax, eat, do my homework. The layout is perfect, and it has everything a body builder (or anyone really) could ask for in a fitness area and more. Thank you for also putting extra things you didn't have to provide for us in the restroom/locker room for us to use for self-care and for the extra condiments, plasticware, spices, everything you put out for us to prepare our food, and thank you for just making the overall atmosphere enjoyable. These are the things people notice and what made me feel like this gym hoes above and beyond. This is how you build a gym and a community. 👏💪
Wow, what a phenomenal gym. When I say there is nothing like this gym in Austin, I genuinely mean it. Austin isn’t really a bodybuilding-focused hub compared to places like Dallas or Houston, so serious gyms geared toward bodybuilding or powerlifting are rare here. Because of that, Los Campeones truly stands out. The gym is very well run. Everything is clean, the staff is friendly, and the equipment selection is excellent. There’s a wide variety of high-quality brands, including Hammer Strength, Life Fitness, Panatta, New Tech, and more. You can tell a lot of thought went into both the equipment and the overall layout. One thing I really appreciate is the community and culture. At most commercial gyms, people usually ask, “How many sets do you have left?” I always offer to let them work in, and more often than not they hesitate think I’m crazy or say they’ll just wait. Which leads to them just staring at me until I’m off which has always felt strange to me in a shared space. During my time here, on two separate occasions people simply asked, “Can I work in with you?” It’s a small thing, but it speaks volumes about the culture. Not just for bodybuilding, but for creating a more welcoming environment where people actually respect that the gym is a shared space—and that’s something I really love. Overall, the space feels intentionally laid out, divided into sections based on equipment type and manufacturer, which makes training efficient and enjoyable. There’s even a dedicated section just for Life Fitness equipment, which I think is a thoughtful touch. This is a wonderful gym and absolutely deserving of five stars. Everything below this point is purely personal nitpicking and doesn’t take away from the overall quality. ————————————————————————— The sound system is great, but for some reason the music volume in the bathrooms is noticeably louder than in the rest of the gym, to the point where it feels like I’m walking into a club just to take a piss. The posing rooms are a great feature, but the lighting isn’t ideal. I’ve never used posing rooms at another gym but I’ve posed enough to know what is good and bad lighting. Maybe this is standard, but the lighting is extremely bright and hospital-white, which completely washes out your physique. You can dim the lights, but none of the switches are labeled, so you end up flipping several switches—sometimes even turning off other people’s lights—before finding the right one. Clearly labeling the switches would be a simple and helpful improvement. Overall, Los Campeones is an elite gym and easily one of if not the best gyms in Austin. It’s truly diverse for not only serious training but for those who want a quality gym 😊
This gym is EVERYTHING. Well-maintained, high quality equipment, the most helpful staff, and full diversity of options. The equipment is clean, and they’ve got it all. I’ve also never worked out at a gym this equipped where everyone was respectful and completely self-aware. The welcome staff (including co-owners) were extremely helpful, happy to chat about the gym, and offered plenty of assistance. What this gym HAS: - cardio equipment area - free weights / powerlifting area (separate, sectioned off area from open gym) - cardio area - hyrox training area - MULTIPLE sets of dumbbell racks - every machine you can imagine sectioned by target muscle area - locker rooms with sauna, showers, towels, products - “community area” with refrigerators and microwaves - posing room - classes What this gym is NOT: - gimmicky with diversity and quantity of equipment (you know who you are 👀) - packed with “influencers” / tripods / people not actually working out - intimidating / stand-off-ish
