Best self-defense gym within a hundred mile radius, and I have trained at several gyms in the area over the years. Everyone wants to see you succeed, especially the instructors, who are fantastic. I strongly recommend this gym to any who want to boost their confidence in self-defense. Come train with us!

Grindhouse Sheridan is everything you'd want in a BJJ gym and more! Back when it was Harbour Combat, I used to roll here off and on when I was younger, and it was always a fantastic place to train. Now, with the new owners and their impressive renovations, it's a new take with that same local feeling. Walking back in for my first night, I immediately felt right at home—though my cardio might have had a different opinion (oof!). The cost is super fair, and the crew here is absolutely on point. The level of respect that everyone shows on the mats is something special, and it makes for such a great environment to train in. Beyond just being a place to sharpen your skills, what really stood out to me was the deeper initiatives this team has taken on—they're not just about BJJ, they're about the community. My first night back, I heard about some incredible projects they're involved in, like helping build homes for those in need. Grindhouse in Sheridan is an incredible place to train! The professors are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about helping you improve. The environment is welcoming, and everyone is supportive, making it a great gym for all skill levels. I have several kids involved in Grindhouse Sheridan Jiu-jitsu ranging in ages from 10-16. They all love it. The instructors are encouraging, experienced, and knowledgeable. They push for excellence while accommodating all experience levels. They offer a wide variety of classes that all compliment and build on each other. I highly recommend Grindhouse Sheridan for all ages!

Have only been training a little over a year but I’ve had the privilege of training in a handful of countries across the world and almost 10 gyms. Hands down the best gym and coach I’ve trained with. So in depth on the instructional and soo friendly, great learning environment. Super great crew of students, everyone helping each other learn!
