Good fitness center for the base. Plenty of machines and free weights. Cardio room could use more treadmills but overall good gym.

When I went last week the gym floor was soaking wet with condensation. Makes the floor and equipment slippery. Got hurt on the leg press when my feet slipped on the slick platform. Other than that it’s a decent gym. I’ve been many times before where this was not the case. Just use caution when the floor is wet.

The civilian staff that work there are slow to fix equipment, cardio machines stay broken, pads on exercise machine always busted, hammer strength handles always missing, and CAC access machine always down to be able to workout after hours. They pick and choose when to say something about children being in the gym. If they are friends with parents with kids, they allow them to run around, be on the equipment, but if you aren't cool with them they will come correct you immediately about no kids in the gym. Retired members that stay in the area bring their friends, their kids, run boot camps in the annex, or bring them to the basketball court and take over the whole area, while the staff says nothing about it. This takes away from the Active Duty members and Active Duty family members that come to the gym. Overall awful experience being at Gunter/Maxwell gyms.

Fairly small gym, and minimum group ex participation, but not overly packed. Sauna room is working 😆
