I've been training off and on since the 1990s. So fair to say I know a good gyms from toxic ones. Nova Mente has to be the best all around culture I've ever seen. Troy is an incredible instructor and more important great human being.

Nova Mente coaches and members are authentic, super friendly, host a respectful environment, no big egos, and welcoming to everyone. Good solid rounds with a skilled group. Coach Troy provides detailed coaching and drills are easier to absorb and apply. Definitely my go-to Jiu Jitsu spot

This gym is amazing. Very welcoming! Troy is a great coach and has created an environment for people of all skill levels to train. 10/10 would recommend

I’ve been involved in BJJ & MMA since 2006, and Nova Mente has been one my favorite places to train. I started attending classes in late 2024 and have really enjoyed the vibes and energy. Friends , Families, Kids , Fighters - However you identify and no matter what your goals Troy and his team will help you get where you want to be!

I've been doing jiu jitsu for 4 years and have trained at gyms all over North America and I think Nova Mente is one of the best gyms out there. Easily one of my favorite gyms I've been a member of. Everyone at Nova has been so kind and welcoming and the instruction is top notch. They are receptive to ideas and feedback and you can tell they care about their members. They do a great job of making sure members and visitors feel comfortable and safe. I'd recommend it to anyone, beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
