I have searched for a trainer for a while now I have have had different training coaches that just didn't mark all my boxes. Coach Ellis is one of a kind he works with my crazy schedule mostly he challenges me each time I go. His technique and pushing me outside of my comfort zone helps me to the next level of boxing and mostly my health is better for it. I'm lucky to have found a coach like Coach Ellis.
I’ve been coached by Mr. Ellis since 2016 @ the Boxing Yard b4 he’s had his own gym! Professional, organized instruction, just overall greatness
I just wanna say how wonderful the experience was and wish I could stay longer but could not due to personal reasons and how grateful I was to step inside this building filled with love and kindness. This place has taught me a lot with so little time that I was there. Coach Ellis,staff,and community was really welcoming and kind hearted to start off with and if you are into boxing or trying to start out or just wanted to get into shape look no further you have found the place ! The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and push you to be your best, whether you’re a beginner or more experienced. The gym has a great atmosphere, with a strong sense of community and respect. This place is the real deal. You know how almost all the biggest baddest fighters in the world come from tough gyms located in tough neighborhoods? This is one of those gyms. Again, this place is the real deal. It’s not cutesy, not comfy, not mindful or demure. Check one two, check check, is this thing on? 🎤 This is where the future legends are made. This where savages in the ring are sculpted. This is where respect is earned and where young men push themselves to limit to see what they’re made of. This where young women learn to defend themselves from the predators of the world. This place is phenomenal. I was a busy 32 year old fellow physician when I joined. Within 2 months, I was down 22lbs and was in the best shape of my life. In 08/2023 I broke two fingers falling off a Harley Davidson. I couldn’t box or preform lifesaving medical procedures for 6 weeks. I realized even though I loved this gym, coach ellis, the rest of the staff and my fellow boxing and fitness enthusiasts; I had to protect my hands in order to be able to continue to care for my local community as a PCCM physician. Go here, you will not regret it.
