If you want a great workout in a family friendly environment, while learning how to defend yourself this is the place!! I burned 1,500 calories in just one training session. Coaches and staff are amazing and Freddy is a world class instructor. All of the instructors are amazing and friendly. It is a fun, judgement free, serious training facility. I love it here!!!
Freddy, Josh, and the rest of the coaches/professors at Ascension have created an incredible environment. As someone fairly new to BJJ (about 2 months) the coaches and students have helped me tremendously to mature into this sport. Their attention to their students needs is apparent with every class as well as by their actions, for example they saw that in recent months there's been an influx of beginners joining their gym. As a result they adjusted their schedule to accommodate for these new students and offer beginner classes. For anybody in the Alpharetta area looking to start training in juititsu or MMA, this is the place to be.
My son has been attending Jiu-Jitsu classes for more than a year now, and I must say, we couldn't be happier with his experience. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and nurturing. They create a positive and encouraging environment for all the kids, which has boosted my son's self-confidence and discipline. The classes are well-structured, focusing on both the physical aspects of Jiu-Jitsu and the mental aspects of self-control and respect. My son has not only improved his physical fitness but has also learned valuable life skills that extend beyond the mat. The facility itself is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is always approachable and willing to address any concerns or questions. Overall, our experience with my son's Jiu-Jitsu class has been outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parents looking for a great martial arts program for their children.
Best Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) school around! I've been to many different self defense and MMA schools and this one is the best for many reasons - Instructors are amazing, facility is new and clean, students are friendly and helpful and location is ideal! Before you sign your child up for karate or Taekwando, be sure to visit Ascension first because they will get real life self defense, structure and encouragement and life building instructions at Ascension MMA.
Kids program is awesome! My 8yrs old son has been training there for more than two years. Freddy Assuncao and staff do an absolutely fantastic job with the kids. We go to competitions often and my son has placed in each event.
