Northwest Wado-ryu Karate is a wonderful dojo. I cannot speak highly enough of Sensei Schwartz. He is an excellent teacher and an all around amazing person. An excellent place to learn martial arts, respect, confidence and strength. These people are the best!
We love Northwest Wado-ryu! Since my daughter Zinnia has began, she her confidence has sky rocketed, discipline and focus has improved, and she absolutely loves coming to class. She looks forward to karate each week!
NW Wado-Ryu Dojo has been the perfect fit for our family for years. We have 5 members working toward a black-belt ranking as well as participation in the Dojo's competition team, which has seen our family compete at multiple tournaments, including US representation at the 2024 WIKF Global Cup. We have had the privilege to train with world-class athletes and elite instructors. The connections that we've made with fellow members here at NW Wado-Ryu are not only impactful but also meaningful. I would absolutely recommend instruction through NW Wado-Ryu Dojo to anyone interested in learning about Karate.
I came to the dojo expecting I would learn some self defense and leave but after a few months there I have found a place at Northwest Wado-Ryu karate. Sensai Schwartz is always trying to help me grow as a person as well as within the karate world. Schwartz Senpai does a great job at always making everyone feels welcome, is having fun and overall just does a great job at teaching. I always leave the dojo with a smile on my face knowing I learned something valuable as well as had a good time. Overall the family who run the dojo are great people who really value the views of personal growth and community. I would highly recommend Northwest Wado- Ryu Karate to anyone who is thinking about joining.
This is Hands down the BEST choice for a much needed extracurricular activity for my little girl! It is fun for her, the instructors are so positive and it feels like play she can be proud of! I'm seriously impressed at how they manage to engage her and keep her having such fun while teaching important character values, helping her gain physical abilities and confidence, and it truly seems the most authentic and quality education in a martial art I have seen in my years travelling the country. And it's extremely worth while for adults for all the same reasons. I love seeing adults and kids training side by side respecting each other despite age gaps. I highly recommend this dojo for anyone who wants to improve health both physical and mental. Love that the whole family can join together😊 Check This place out. You won't regret it.
