I'm an absolute beginner in Judo. Jerry and the team did great working with my injuries and teaching a novice. Other members in the class were kind and made me feel welcome.
In anticipation of a trip to Frankfort I found Valhalla's page and inquired about training while in town. The response was warm, prompt, and welcoming. I dropped in last night to the no gi class and I had a fantastic time. I've been training off and on since '08 so I've seen schools of all shapes and sizes. This is one of those special spots that you hope you are lucky enough to have in the town where you end up. Good jitsu culture is a fragile and difficult thing to cultivate, and Valhalla has it. The instruction was great, the members were all inviting and good training partners (and tough as nails!). I highly recommend you drop in!
Valhalla AJJ is amazing. They offer Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Wrestling and sometimes have kickboxing on the weekend. There are people of all ages & backgrounds. All of the instructors are very patient with newbies and the prices are very affordable, so come on out!! It’s so much fun! :)
Best jiujitsu around! The staff is amazing. As a first responder, it’s great having instructors who understand the value of control and how it transitions into law enforcement when officers are met with passive and active resistance/aggression.
Best place to train in Eastern Kentucky. The new management is phenomenal and the instruction is extremely high level. Absolutely recommend joining this Jiu Jitsu Family.
