My experience here should concern any parent. My 7-year-old was placed into a 9–14-year-old class with older, more experienced kids. During free sparring, he was being physically overpowered, and in that moment there was no meaningful instructor correction or intervention. I understand this is a contact sport. What I don’t accept is a young child being put in that position without consistent supervision and guidance. During that free sparring portion, my son became visibly upset and was close to quitting. I gave brief encouragement to help him stay composed, stay engaged, and not shut down under pressure. After that, he regained confidence and was able to continue. I raised a safety concern as a parent. That’s it. Instead of addressing the concern, the situation was turned on me and I was removed from the program. No clear rule was identified. No specific conduct was explained. No documentation or details were provided — only general references to “records” and “witnesses.” After that, the narrative shifted to place fault on me. I did not threaten anyone. I submitted a written concern focused on my child’s safety and the environment he was placed in. A parent speaking up about safety should not result in removal. Because of how this was handled, my son lost access to something he was starting to enjoy and build confidence in. Take that into consideration before enrolling your child.
The gym has everything needed for a full body workout. Upstairs has cardio equipment and weights. Downstairs has free weights and machines. The staff I who I met and signed me up was super chill and made the signup process so quick and easy, thanks Lucas.
This is the best gym I've ever used on vacation. The equipment is all new & properly maintained. The area is clean. The personnel is helpful. I can't find any fault. I really appreciate Lucas for running such a professional facility & for the kind customer service.

I’m giving a low rating for several reasons. The bang for your buck is very low here: 1) Gym equipment is in generally okay condition, however the cleanliness is a major downside to this facility. The fans looked like they haven’t been cleaned in years and there is thick layers of dust on different surfaces. I’m not sure how that’s possible since it appears employees are vacuuming the floors regularly. Also, occasionally the bathroom will be absolutely disgusting with hair and other material all over. 2) I was charged two sauna maintenance fees while it was being worked on for a year which was somewhat reasonable, but now it is $5 for a twenty minute use as well. This gym does not reward loyalty. I think it can only get away with it because of the lack of competition in town. Go to Athletex instead, your $65 will be much better spent. Even planet fitness blows this place away for a quarter of the cost. Too bad it’s in Carson. 3) if a piece of gym equipment breaks, it takes literal months to get it repaired. They need a better solution.
