I am really sorry to say it but it looks like here is abandoned. The guy who introduced himself as the coach was polite; however, the environment was more like than an abandoned home than a gym. No one was practicing there, and I needed to shout several times so that the coach comes. The coach showed me the boxing room. Houseflies were flying at the entrance . He said it costs 50 dollars a month. It is my personal observation.

Dewdrop is a legendary coach, trained many amateurs as well as pro fighters , took many to championships, the accolades are numerous , several hall of fame coaching plaques, very wise n intelligent Coach, been knowing this man almost 30yrs, build his gym into one of Jersey finest, always known for hard work, when other gyms close or not allowed to open, his gym doors are always open to help, this man is very appreciated and loved not only in Newark, but around the world…Stay blessed Coach Dewdrop, we love you man…

It's very friendly and warm hard core gym. Come there and be about your business. Learn the old fashion way how to defend yourself.

It's a community based gym, owned, founded and operated by a silver gloves boxing champion. Great location, friendly people, safe and secure environment.
