I was visiting Santa Fe on vacation with family and didn't want to miss a week of training. Maybe I could train there? An email to Jesse Jacquez BJJ got a quick affirmative reply. When I arrived a few minutes before the 6pm no-gi class, the kids class was still going on. It was obvious that Coach Jenna did an outstanding job with the kids. The little ones were active, attentive, and skillful. The school generally had a friendly, family vibe. That carried over to the adult class where I, a total stranger visiting from out of town, was treated with kindness and respect. The hour-long session moved fast with warm-up shifting to technique lesson, to drilling, to rolling. I got a great sweat and learned a few useful things. Jenna taught confidently and gave feedback to nearly everyone at different times. It was obvious that those who attended classes regularly saw steady improvement. Overall, my visit was a very positive experience. This wasn't some kind of luxury academy, but a clean, friendly, and community-oriented place. A place where the focus was very much on the hard work on the mats. I'll definitely pop back in next time I'm in Santa Fe!

Where was Jiu Jitsu when I was a kid? Fortunately our 8yr old get to learn this proven life long self-defense discipline. For the most part he just thinks he’s having fun while oblivious to the fact that he’s learning technique, responsibility, teamwork and gets to experience exciting competition at a young age.

Our son started taking jiu jitsu classes in April of 2021 with Jesse and Jenna. We live in Taos, NM and drive 1.5 hours each way. The level of training and patience is excellent. His level of skill and confidence has grown. The discipline that is offered is allowing youth to build life long skills. We feel comfortable dropping off and returning at the end of class, not always possible in other activities. Highly recommend JJBJJ!!!

Best Jits in Santa Fe!!! Jesse and the crew are fantastic, my entire family enjoys every class offered…. Great with everyone from small kids to adults. Learn something new every time… Highly recommend!!!!

Jesse is a wonderful, patient teacher. This gym has changed my life. I started going last October and I don't think I'll ever stop. I highly recommend you give this place a try!
