I began here in 2021 at 43 years old. I've always struggled to make it to gyms to work out because of laziness, but I have stuck with this for 4 years and I have never been fitter. I was too fat to wear some of my gear when I started, a couple months later the fat melted away. To be perfectly clear, these classes are 1.5 hours of intense cardio, for anyone interested. 30 minutes of warmup, then the class Coach Eppolito keeps us motivated not only in fitness, but teaches us valuable life lessons. I have added extra steps like pushups between rounds to increase my fitness, and make extra effort to eat healthy. I wish I had started years before I did

Great gym all around to say the least! Frank was very inspiring and the guy he had helping with training was amazing. Took the time to explain things and pushed us to our limit. Doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or advanced fighter they seem to know what they are doing. 10/10 recommend

I am going to preface this with three things, 1. I never write reviews, but this experience warrants one, 2. I've boxed for over 6 years and know there are different styles taught, etc. And 3. As part of that, I have both experienced and witnessed criticism given to students, and have never had an issue with it. I called Eppolitos before going to a class to get information since there is no website or social media presence with any information. I spoke with Frank, who wasn't friendly, and explained I'd belonged to a boxing gym before and recently moved/ saw his gym was the only one in Knoxville. It felt like pulling teeth to get class times and pricing, which should have been my first red flag. On to class. I arrived and he seemed agitated I was there and barely took time to explain how he runs class. He also informed me he usually only does new people on Thursdays (perhaps mention that to someone when she calls or maybe even have a website). However, I found out you run outside for a while and then jump rope, until he tells you to stop. This lasted for 30 minutes plus out of the hour and a half long class. Nearly half of the class arrived late and it felt poorly run. During the bag work phase of class, he went over 8 to 10 punches/footwork to do and told everyone to do it over the next several rounds. He then did mits, and yelled at almost everyone for not listening. I've never been to a gym where the trainer doesn't give instruction in steps that are built on over each round. It makes it easier on all experience levels, and is just a better way to teach. Frank took the time to correct other students, but when he got to me, he didn't work with me at all to correct what I did wrong and just walked away annoyed. At this point, I also felt like he was being discriminatory against me. I happen to be pregnant and haven't missed a boxing class almost all year until I moved in the last week. Perhaps that was part of his issue, but I've never been to any gym where a person, let alone the owner, was so wildly dismissive, unkind, and unhelpful. I was SO excited about this gym too, but it was incredibly disappointing to go and be met with a disfunctionally run class by a very rude man. I'd leave a zero star review if that was possible.
