Blackstar offers excellent service and a great deal for what you get. Unlimited classes at a very competitive price and from some of the best instructors in the valley. Could not recommend more. 10/10. The community is incredible with a real culture of hard work and constant improvement and it has helped me a lot.

Blackstar Kickboxing is truly special. It is a place where I know I will be able to get excellent quality training while also feeling comfortable , safe, and have tons of fun. You might just want to stay in shape, lose some weight or want to sharpen up your skills for your next fight (like myself) - coach Danny Salinas will really accommodate everyone’s needs and work with all levels. The environment of camaraderie is very genuine; everyone is extremely respectful to each other. Coach Danny Salinas has truly cultivated a culture at his gym where respect, excellence, and love for the sport are top priorities and I am so happy to call this place my second home.

This is such a great place for anyone interested in learning self-defense, kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, or MMA. Coach Danny has a lot of experience and really knows how to provide a great space for learning. I was always too nervous to try out Jiu-Jitsu because it's such a high contact sport, but I've been having a really fun time. Even though I'm an absolute beginner, Coach Danny is always mindful of providing extra guidance as I slowly learn. Another great thing about this gym is that everyone is really nice and welcoming. (Shout out to Kayla for really making me feel welcome from the get-go!) I feel really comfortable at this gym and it's a great way to get some exercise and get rid of stress. Highly recommend! Pros: various classes offered and at different times during the day, all ages welcome, a great coach, an amazing community, and great background music. :)

Blackstar is truly my second home. Coach Danny an amazing professor, who pours knowledge of MMA and kickboxing into his student’s lives. The camaraderie is so genuine. Everyone is truly welcoming, respectful and inclusive of others. I was always intimidated to start MMA, but after visiting blackstar,I felt motivated and encouraged to start my MMA journey. I highly recommend Blackstar. I drive from Weslaco because a school of this caliber, is unmatched..
