Vlad is the hidden gem of the grappling world his knowledge, and passion for the martial arts are unmatched. I was blessed to train under Vlad for a couple of years earning my Purple Belt under him his knowledge of throws and ankle locks is next level amazing details and one of my favorite people in the martial arts community. Do yourself a favor go check his school and try a class.

Training at Koulikov Grappling Academy has been a great experience. The instructor teaches in a very technical and clear way, always paying attention to the details that truly make a difference. We’ve taken a couple of private classes with a group of friends, and we always leave with techniques we can apply right away. The academy is very well equipped, and the environment is professional and motivating. Highly recommended for anyone looking to improve their BJJ!

Vlad Koulikov is an expert instructor in Sambo, Judo, and Jiu Jitsu. I met Vlad through seminars at my local school and have had the opportunity to train with him over the course of 13 years. Vlad is a master of the details, no one teaches as thoroughly as him. He teaches competition tested techniques that I have employed to great success and passed on to others (like the V1!). He gives you the whole package, takedowns to submissions and also offers an excellent set of online courses. A true martial artist and a great mentor, you will be blessed to have him as your teacher!

I’ve had the opportunity to train at Vlad’s school a few different times for seminars and when I’ve been traveling to the area and able to stop in. Vlad is that rare coach who is not only talented with the art he’s practicing, he’s a gifted teacher as well. He’s got the ability to take a complex technique, quickly break it down into the component pieces, and convey that knowledge to the students. Things that Vlad has shown me have changed my jiu jitsu game for the better. His team at the school has always been very welcoming to me. It can be intimidating as a visitor walking into a new school to train, and I’ve always been made to feel welcome and one of the group whenever I’ve been there. The physical facility is top notch as well, and very clean.

Where do I start... to qoute a wise man who once told me, "so many thoughts but one mouth." Ever since KGA has moved to Texas my grappling life hasn't been the same... I presently train jiujitsu at another school. It's good but it definitely isn't KGA. I still utilize the techniques I've learned at KGA to this day and they always work! To say the least. I drill them with my oldest from time to time and again always have great success. Vlads' tutelage has had such a profound effect on my grappling that ive already flown too Texas, with my oldest,just to train with him again. Infact My family and I are currently planning a trip to Texas to KGA for the spring just to go visit professor. Vlad isn't only a great teacher but a much loved friend ❤️
